The GST Network (GSTN) technology has bought a new tracking method “invoice matching”. This will start as the seller will upload all the invoices. This systematic tracking method will even track B2C services like Kirana shops. The government can track the business by tracking the dealer’s uploaded sales invoices. The measure is to prevent tax evasion. This method is not limited to indirect taxes or GST. Income tax authorities will also be able to locate people working to evade taxes.
